According To CNN, Hong Kong Is In South America Now

CNN did a recent report on the giant killer hornets that one spiky-haired Chinese mayor is fighting via midnight flamethrower attacks, and somehow, some way, this screencap happened. Hong Kong is in South America now. Please make a note in your travel guides.

As far as I can tell, there are three possibilities for what happened here, which I will now rank from most to least probable:

  1. There was a typo or technical glitch in the creation of this graphic.
  2. At least one person in CNN’s graphics department has no idea where Hong Kong is.
  3. The people of Hong Kong — either due to fear of these massive hornets or just because they wanted a changed of scenery — uprooted their entire city, floated it halfway around the world, and nuzzled it in next to Rio de Janeiro.

I’m as worried about these hornets as anyone, but I feel like that last one might be a little extreme.
